The Leatherman Supply story started in 1949, when Cliff Leatherman started Modern Masonry in Goshen. Cliff’s sons, Wayne and Vern, grew up working in the family business; manufacturing and supplying brick and brickcrete.

After a tragic accident claimed Wayne’s life, Cliff sold Modern Masonry. In 1964, Cliff and Vern founded Leatherman Supply. At the start, Leatherman Supply carried a variety of products; paint, garage doors, water softeners, storm windows, and more. Vern’s brother-in-law, Lowell Nafziger, joined the Leatherman Supply team as partner in 1973. As time passed, Cliff sold his ownership to Vern and Lowell, who had found a niche in windows and doors. Together the pair grew Leatherman Supply to be a well-respected name in the marketplace and a firm who made customer service it’s top priority.

In 2008, Vern’s son Justin became third generation owner/manager. Growing up in the family business, Justin was fortunate to work in all roles of the business before becoming manager.

Having a vision for growth, cabinets and countertops were soon added to the business portfolio. Through the 2010’s, Leatherman Supply’s dedicated team of associates fueled exponential growth, building on the firm’s core values:
